Now Hiring: Housing Operations Manager

Common Wealth Development is seeking someone who cares about making a difference for the many people experiencing Madison’s affordable housing crisis, and who wants to work at the challenging intersection of apartment management and comprehensive care management as a Housing Operations Manager. The Housing Operations Manager will lead our team in the management of 146 affordable housing units on Madison’s east and west side. The successful candidate will lead management, compliance and reporting, rent collection and financial management, supervision, program planning, and budgeting. Must have working knowledge of landlord/tenant law; ability to supervise multiple staff; maintain lease, tenant and financial records; work with our talented housing staff team, as well as our dynamic and diverse network of residents and partners. Working with Common Wealth Development means working to protect healthy places we live, love, work, and play in an upstream approach to health equity and violence prevention, and being connected to an inspiring network of community-based-organizations, regulatory agencies, and resident leaders.

Desired training and experience include: Fair Housing Training, Training in WHEDA Tax Credit Compliance and HOME Program Regulations, Property Tax Exemption Compliance, 3+ experience in property management, 3+ years of supervisory experience. 3+ years of experience working with people from low-income homes and racially diverse backgrounds. Creativity and innovation in housing solutions, visioning, and planning.

This is a full-time position at 40 hours/week. Pay is $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience, with full benefits.
