Let us take this opportunity to congratulate Tyson Jackson on his new position with UW Health as their Senior Career Pathways Coordinator!!

In this position, Tyson will be responsible for creating, coordinating, teaching and facilitating health career pathways programs and training that will aid in building UW Health’s future diverse clinical and non-clinical workforce.  This is going to be a high-vis position, and a great opportunity for Tyson to continue to showcase his tremendous talents and expertise in the service of the people of Madison and Dane County.

Tyson came aboard Common Wealth in May 2013 as a Limited Term Employee, and became a full-time part of the Youth Programs’ staff in October of the same year.  During his time with Common Wealth, Tyson has mentored 145 youth through the Youth Business Mentorship and Wanda Fullmore programs, placed over 75 youth in employment, partnered with Old Navy to facilitate the Adopt-a-Family gift giving during the Christmas/Winter holiday season for youth in need and assisted in the training and development of new Youth Programs’ staff.

His morale and good-spirit are infectious and will be dearly missed.

Congratulations, Tyson!

Tyson’s Poem to Staff:

To the Common Wealth staff, who came bearing gift,

To give a tiny new being, and her parents a lift.

No, they didn’t pick them up, up off of the floor,

But they lifted them where, it counts even more.

When hearts become warm, and you’re weak in the knees,

It’s people like you, who make moments like these.

We’ve had fortune to travel, through each of your thoughts,

When anything else, could’ve filled our spots.

I could go on forever, giving thanks to you for being so clever.

So I’ll end with a thank you, as it’s the least I can do,

And attached is a photo, as I bid you ado.
