New Developments
Continuing the Work
Common Wealth Development’s model of community development and upstream violence prevention includes continuously working to create more affordable housing in Madison and Dane County. Through long-term neighborhood relationship work, Common Wealth learns about the needs and opportunities of residents and community members and works to develop real estate in collaboration with those directly impacted by that development.
Outlined more in Our Approach, Common Wealth’s model generates revenue from development projects and rental income to fund our ongoing operations and other programmatic activities. The synergy of this approach provides a strong foundation for lasting and stable work in neighborhoods and communities in Madison. CWD is actively engaged in multiple projects to increase the affordable housing stock.
